A quick guide to performing basic tasks using the Comfort Alarm System

Logging into the Comfort System
To log into Comfort type in your pass code and then press the * key. The menu can then be navigated by pressing the corresponding keys. To return to the previous menu press the # key. Pressing the # key repeatedly will log you out of Comfort.

Arming the Comfort Alarm System
Arming the Comfort alarm system can be done in two ways:

  • 1. Press the mode keys on the keypad (right hand side of the keypad ):
    • a. Away Mode – Padlock at the top right of the keypad
    • b. Night Mode – Crescent Moon second top right
    • c. Day Mode – Sun third top right.
Comfort will then initiate the arming sequence for that mode.
  • 2. Login to the keypad (you user code and the # key) and then select menu 1 (Arm Alarm System) followed by option number you would like (1 for away mode, 2 for night mode, 3 for day mode, 4 for vacation mode).
Disarming the Comfort System
The alarm system can be disarmed by typing in your user code to any of the keypads followed by the # key. Comfort will then disarm and play the event log. Please note that it is important not to press the * key before entering your user code. If you do this then comfort will go into the voice menu instead of disarming the alarm. If this happens then you can press 0 from the voice menu to turn off security.

Cancelling an Alarm
If an alarm is triggered then it can be cancelled by logging into Comfort as normal. Comfort will then disarm and then read out the event log.

The Home Control Menu
The Home Control menu can be reached by logging into Comfort and then selecting option 4. The voice options can then be followed to control different aspects of the home.

Picking Up Your Voicemail
If you have received voicemail then the New Message light on the keypad will blink. In this instance you can press the # key by itself (please note that no user code is needed) to find out who the message(s) are for. Each separate user can then enter there code as normal to retrieve there messages. The user can delete messages by pressing 3 on the keypad while the message is being played.

Listening to Saved Messages
Once messages have been listened get moved to saved messages. Saved messages can be listened to by logging in to Comfort as normal and then pressing option 2 for messages. From this menu messages can be listened to or deleted as required.

Logging into Comfort Remotely Via Phone
To log into Comfort by phone, dial your home number and then wait for Comfort to pick up. While the greeting message is played press * followed by you user code followed by the # key. If the user code is valid Comfort will then enter the voice menu as if you were in front of a keypad.
