OFGEM Approved meters are required for tariff billing applications, whether it be on a main incoming circuit or on a sub-metering system. The meters are manufactured to the necessary standards to guarantee the expected level of accuracy so that they are able to be used in billing situations. The OFGEM meters are also MID Certified however are known most commonly under their OFGEM status due to only the recent implementation of the MID standards.
